Two Years Later !

I'm quite sure most of my readers have given up on me by now, my life got so busy ( good and bad) you can guess what I mean , so here I am again ready to communicate with whoever likes to engage with me. I'm fast approaching my birthday 25th April ,and will be celebrating with family and friends.  Work "my alteration business" is still busy which I'm delighted with, considering the recession we're in, although the government keeps saying is nearly over, wishful thinking!
My friend has finished all her treatment for breast cancer and is looking and feeling good ,back to enjoying life again. As for me I'm still working on my crafts which I enjoy very much, I attended my first craft show last Sunday in Castletown House , Celbridge ,Kildare ,weather was dreadful, wind and rain and quite cold ,glad it was indoors. My lovely granddaughter, Katelyn, helped me and we had a lovely time together. I'll be more organised  next time and have some photos of my new crafts so bye for now .

6 months later !!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe it's been 6 months since my last post. I have been so busy with my crafts and am now making some totes and handbags. I have purchased lovely tweed and check fabric which I think will make lovely bags. As I'm sure you all know when you are a creative person you seem to have so many  ideas in your head and never enough time to make them all ,and for sure you never get bored !Hopefully next time I will take some photos of my latest crafts to show you. Bye for now.

Positive Thinking

I intend to begin this new year with a positive manner. After receiving good results for my biopsy  and my friend is on the last leg of her recovery from breast cancer,life is slowly getting back to normal! It all makes you think just what is important in life and how we worry and "moan" over the slightest thing. Christmas was lovely enjoying it with my children and grandchildren. 
 I intend to start making my crafts with some new ideas and designs ( hopefully ),and post some photos to show my progress, including a few tip about sewing.

So I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year.

A quick thought

Quite a lot has been going on in my life lately. After the upset of my friend  being diagnosed with breast cancer ,and her ongoing treatment ,which is all good T.G. I had a biopsy myself about a week ago. It involved a mark on my face which was growing slowly .I am now awaiting results so hopefully all is well!
Apart from that I am still kept busy with my alteration business (Nips &Tucks) and also my crafts which I love making ,particularly my Christmas decorations that I'm working on at the moment.
As this a new laptop I'm working on, I have not had time to upload my latest pictures of my crafts, so bear with me on this issue. Bye for now!

Life Changes

The past month life has not been good ,in fact getting a kick in the "butt" would describe it perfectly!
My best friend ,since my late teens,was diagnosed with the dreaded "Breast Cancer".Total shock not just to me and her family but more importantly ,to herself. It's like time has stood still yet gone so fast. Looking on the good side ,it was a small tumor and has been removed successfully,but she now has to face 8 sessions of "kemo" as we call it, and more treatment to follow. Dr say she will be ok ,but what amazes me is how your life can change so quickly, in the blink of an eye !
Such a true saying " Your health is your wealth "

Simple Change to Sleeves

Making a simple change to this dress. Cut the sleeves to elbow length and then gather the fabric at the centre sides of each sleeve,  sew a couple of nice buttons on and now you have changed the whole look of your dress (for the better)

After altering this lovely bridsmaids dress into a knee length dress I had enough fabric over to make a matching clutch bag . The bag has an inside pocket and magnetic snap closure.
